Grow Roots

This project paired a 50-foot exterior mural with a student-created companion mural, developed through integrated STEAM programming and direct engagement with students at Springdale Park Elementary School. Together, we explored seed-to-harvest cycles, the importance of local food systems, and how identity and place shape the way communities grow. While the large scale work anchors the site, students learned, designed, and painted in tandem—using the work as an integral pedagogical armature that facilitates discussions of history, science, technology and math.
